Susan Elwell: Solar Energy Advocate & Expert

Based in The Villages, FL, Susan Elwell is a devoted advocate for solar energy adoption. With a mission rooted in environmental preservation and sustainability, she is dedicated to helping homeowners reap the benefits of solar energy, from controlling their energy costs to increasing the value of their homes.

Susan’s journey in the solar industry began in Virginia when she installed a solar energy system on her own roof in Virginia Beach. Her neighbors, friends, and family were also interested in controlling their energy costs, and Susan became a solar advocate.

Currently working as an Independent Contractor at Powur, Susan is very happy with a solar platform committed to transparency and excellent customer service. She gained valuable insights into solar panels, financing, and installation processes with three other solar energy companies before aligning with Powur, a Certified B Corporation meeting high standards in verified performance, accountability, and transparency.

Prior to entering the solar energy sector, Susan amassed extensive experience in the medical field. She held various roles in pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech sales and marketing. Beyond her professional pursuits, Susan is an active community member in various outreach programs, both local and global, like the Wildwood Street Sweepers, Friends of the Earth, Solar United Neighbors, and Earthday.org. She’s also an avid butterfly gardener, and her passion for education is evident in her authorship of “Madigan’s Discoveries,” an educational science series for children, available on Amazon and Barnes & Nobles.

Susan holds an M.S. in Biology from The University of Virginia and a B.A. in Biology from Wheaton College, Norton, MA. Her background reinforces her commitment to a sustainable future. She’s not just promoting a service but nurturing a brighter, cleaner world for future generations.
